Larry has done water colour drawing of 12 prominent fly tiers in Canada; not necessarily their prettiest of flies, but rather their working patterns. The Canadian Fly Fishing Art 2010 Calendar provides an opportunity to view a collection of original flies from some of the top anglers in Canada.
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Larry's interest in wildlife and the outdoors developed in early childhood and has grown even stronger over the years. Larry devotes long hours daily to etching, pencil drawing and water colour painting. However, he usually manages to arrange his work schedule to ensure that he enjoys time in the outdoors or on the water. If not found on a river or lake fly fishing for trout, or bobbing about on the ocean chasing salmon, Larry is usually at home in his studio drawing or engraving.
Larry is Founder and Publisher of Island Fisherman Magazine and has published three books Island Fly Fisherman, Island Halibut Fisherman and Island Salmon Fisherman.
